Dock Management
Dock management refers to the coordination of all activities at the loading ramp. These activities are the handling of incoming/outgoing goods and the handling of incoming/outgoing trucks. In the event of increased transport volumes, it supports the efficient handling of the traffic flow on the premises. Dock management ensures efficient goods receipt/dispatch and optimised processes. Missing capacities at loading ramps and waiting times for trucks can also be reduced. A special form is cross docking.
With dock management software, logistics companies can plan, control and optimise their incoming and outgoing transports at the warehouse or logistics centre. Optimally, it is linked to the warehouse management system. Together, both solutions lead to clear time-slot management through digitised real-time messages and automated processes.
The cross docking software CarLo inHUB from Soloplan represents a digital transshipment warehouse in which all steps of the transport chain can be viewed at any time.
