Opening ceremony with 180 guests
The year 2019 has been a very special one for the Heidl family and Soloplan GmbH: The new company building “Soloplan City” has been completed. Since the company relocated in May 2019, that building has been the new workplace of around 120 employees in Kempten. The year 2019 is also the year in which the family-owned company celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Last Friday, 13/09/2019, Soloplan GmbH had a festive evening to which a total of 180 guests were invited. Together with many partners, customers, the mayor and town councillors of Kempten, Soloplan GmbH looked back on 25 eventful years.
Wolfgang Heidl (CEO), Fabian Heidl (CEO International), Thomas Kiechle (mayor of Kempten), Leo Mohr (architect) and Dr Richard Schießl (head of the economic development office) started the evening with an open dialogue and recalled a quarter of a century. Oliver Detje (publishing director of DVV Media Group Hamburg) moderated the lively talk.
The beginnings of Soloplan GmbH can be traced back to the living room of the Heidl family. Over the years, the company established itself more and more on the market and has become one of the most successful software companies in the logistics sector. The highlight so far has clearly been the construction of “Soloplan City”. However, there is more to come. After all, the next generation – the sons Fabian, Christian and Julian – is ready to take over and has already got a lot planned for the future: “Our common goal is to let our customers benefit in the greatest way possible from our programmes and to assume a technological leadership position on the market in the field of logistics software,” says Fabian Heidl, CEO International of Soloplan GmbH.
With the modern “Soloplan City” building, the Heidl family has created the best possible conditions for that. Employees benefit from height-adjustable tables, the latest cooling/heating technology and a total of 21 flat screens that can be found throughout the building in the meeting rooms and departments. Everywhere in the building, there are quiet zones and seating areas that allow employees to either work in silence or hold meetings.
“What we have achieved together with our employees over the past 25 years makes me particularly proud. I am therefore all the more glad that we can celebrate this day together. At the same time, I look forward to the future of our company,“ says Wolfgang Heidl, CEO of Soloplan GmbH.
