Partnership with the association AK Gaming e. V.–review of the year and plans for the future

For a year already, a shared passion for technology and IT has been the basis of the connection between the association AK Gaming e. V. and Soloplan. During this period, several projects were realised in cooperation with the University of Kempten.

Four LAN parties took place from October 2022 to June 2023. Soloplan contributed to the costs of the pizza orders and additionally sponsored various prizes. With up to 150 participants, the events were a complete success.

During the winter semester of 2022/2023, the “Soloplan Hackathon 2022” took place in the technical facilities of the University of Kempten. During this event, the different teams had the opportunity to develop innovative concepts regarding the topic of “Approaches for future communication in logistics”. The event concluded with an award ceremony at Soloplan.

Furthermore, the first “League of Legends” online tournament was organised by the eSport department of AK Gaming. A team of Soloplan employees was among the participants and had the opportunity to demonstrate its skills. An average of about 70 viewers watched the tournament on the Twitch livestream. Soloplan contributed to the prize money for the top places.

Finally, we would like to draw attention to the jerseys of the eSport team, which were sponsored by Soloplan and bear our logo.

After these many successful projects, we are looking forward to our continued collaboration with AK Gaming. In the winter semester of 2023/2024, we plan on following up the previous successful events with two more LAN parties in October and December, a “League of Legends” tournament in November and a hackathon in December.
