Means of Transport
Means of transport are all types of means of conveyance used to transport goods or people from one location to another. Which one is selected for a goods transport depends on the requirements of the goods and the length of the route. Examples in logistics are truck/train for land transports, vessels for sea transports or airplanes for air transports.
The term means of traffic is different and cannot be used as a synonym. Means of traffic are all devices that cover distances by changing location, even if no goods or other persons besides the driver are transported. Means of transport, in contrast, are exclusively vehicles that, apart from a driver, also include the transport of goods or passengers..
